📣 NOTICE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING 📣
Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of members will be taking place:
🗓 Date: 17.12.25
🕕 Time: 18:00
📍 Location: Helmsley Town Hall, YO62 5BL
The matters to be voted on are as follows:
✅ A change to the constitution to adopt a Corporate Trustee as the sole Trustee of the Town Hall Charity.
✅ To register the property of the Town Hall in the name of the Corporate Trustee.
These proposals are important steps in formalising and securing the governance of the Town Hall. If any residents have concerns, objections, or wish to comment on these changes, it is essential that they attend and make their views known at the meeting.
Residents of the Parish of Helmsley aged 18 or over are entitled to vote in person.

Main Hall

The main hall is the biggest of Helmsley Town Hall’s rooms

Size: 14.7m (48ft) x 7.4m (24ft)

The elegant and spacious main hall is just what you would expect to find in this iconic listed building. Its wood panelling, polished wood floor and tall windows overlooking Helmsley market place all contribute to its classic appeal.

The main hall can accommodate 100 people and is suitable for an array of purposes. It is currently used for many activities such as wedding receptions, private parties, craft fairs, indoor bowls, fitness classes and public meetings.

Room Hire Rates:

First Hour 

£30 / £27*

Subsequent Hours:

(Up to 4 hrs)  £18 / £16* per hour

(Over 4 hrs)  £15 / £13* per hour

Adding the use of our newly refurbished Kitchen to a Main Hall booking will incur a £35 charge per event

*Reduced rates are only available to Non-commercial, non-profit making events that meet certain criteria.
