Are you interested in helping your community manage and develop the Town Hall? It runs independently of the Town Council with the help of volunteer trustees, some of whom are elected, others are nominated by organisations within the town. There is a paid caretaker. Meetings of Trustees are approximately every month.

📣 NOTICE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING 📣
Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of members will be taking place:
🗓 Date: 17.12.25
🕕 Time: 18:00
📍 Location: Helmsley Town Hall, YO62 5BL
The matters to be voted on are as follows:
✅ A change to the constitution to adopt a Corporate Trustee as the sole Trustee of the Town Hall Charity.
✅ To register the property of the Town Hall in the name of the Corporate Trustee.
These proposals are important steps in formalising and securing the governance of the Town Hall. If any residents have concerns, objections, or wish to comment on these changes, it is essential that they attend and make their views known at the meeting.
Residents of the Parish of Helmsley aged 18 or over are entitled to vote in person.
